BELLINGHAM, Wash. — More than $1-million worth of cocaine was found in boxes of bananas at Safeway stores in Bellingham, Woodinville and Federal Way.
KOMO reports workers at the stores were unloading the boxes Sunday when they found the drugs.
The King County Sheriff’s Office wouldn’t say if the cases were related as the investigation is ongoing.
It’s not clear where the cocaine originally came from, but it was all delivered from a central warehouse for Safeway.
