BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Western Washington University announced a new Holocaust and Genocide Studies Minor, honoring the life and legacy of Holocaust survivor Noemi Ban.
Ban worked closely with WWU for more than 30 years, sharing her story with students and encouraging faculty to integrate Holocaust Education into the curriculum.
The university will officially launch the new minor with a presentation by James Waller at 4 PM on October 17th in the Wilson Library.
His talk, called “confronting evil: why holocaust and genocide studies matter today,” is free and open to the public.
