BELLINGHAM, Wash. — After a wet weekend, Whatcom County’s burn ban is ending.

The burn ban will be lifted effective this Wednesday, September 11, at 8 am.

The county says verbal burn permits will be available via the Outdoor Burning Information Line and written burn permits for fires larger than 4′ x 4′ will be available at the Planning & Development Services Office located on Northwest Drive.

All outdoor burning in Whatcom County will still require a permit, except for legal recreational fires.
