SEATTLE, Wash. — About half of Washington state residents think they spend too much time scrolling, tapping, and swiping, but a new poll shows the majority of users are unconcerned.
The PEMCO Mutual Insurance poll found about 45 percent admitted to having too much screen time, with those under 55 twice as likely than their older counterparts to respond that way.
The poll found older users also use their phones primarily for social media at the rate of about one-third of those under 35.
Despite the differences between older and younger respondents, over 55 percent agree that they are not concerned and do not plan to limit their mobile phone use.
Full results of the poll are available on the PEMCO blog.
