BLAINE, Wash. — A new stretch of trail opened in Blaine providing pedestrians and cyclists with more options.
According to The Northern Light, the new portion of the Peace Portal Community Trail, from Bayview to Hughes Avenue, features a ten-foot-wide pedestrian path with ADA-compliant crossings and driveways along the entire length.
The trail overlaps with a segment of the Coast Millennium Trail which links Skagit County to White Rock, B.C.
The City of Blaine is currently preparing for the project’s third phase, which will extend the trail even further south to Bell Road.
