REDMOND, Wash. — A 23-year-old Redmond man who police say made alarming social media posts about the movie “Joker” had several guns removed from his home as part of an “Extreme Protection Order.”
Investigators learned of the Twitter posts last week and KOMO reports one showed the man holding two AK-47s with the caption: “One ticket for joker please.”
US officials issued warnings about the potential for mass shootings like the one at the Aurora, Colorado theater in 2012.
Police say the man had previous disturbing and threatening social media posts toward women in 2017.
The man has not been charged with a crime but is expected to have a court hearing next week.
