OLYMPIA, Wash. — Attorney General Bob Ferguson is urging the state’s student loan borrowers struggling with public service loan forgiveness to register a complaint with the Attorney General’s office.

Nationally, a political battle is reheating over a federal program that was designed to cancel student loans for certain public workers but has largely failed to deliver that promise.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, it has approved just one percent of applications for the program.

Information on filing a complaint can be found on the Attorney General’s website.
