BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom Community College is securing their lead in cybersecurity education.

The National Science Foundation awarded the college a million-dollar grant that builds on funding awarded to WCC in 2018 to establish a national cybersecurity resource center.

The new grant will expand the center’s ability to support partner colleges and strengthen the nation’s workforce.

NSF also awarded Whatcom Community College a $350,000 grant to organize a national conference on the role of community colleges and future directions in cybersecurity education, which will take place in Washington DC in June.
