BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Where your Bellingham student goes to school in coming years should be clearer soon.

A committee of faculty, staff and parents of Bellingham elementary and middle schools have been studying boundary realignments and have made their final recommendation to Superintendent Greg Baker.

He says some changes are necessary as the population in north Bellingham has grown, over crowding some schools,

Several elementary schools will also be expanded to accommodate more students.

The district is still accepting comments and questions.

Baker says he expects to make a final decision in coming weeks.

Plans under consideration
