BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Several agencies and organizations are joining forces to coordinate winter emergency homeless shelters in Bellingham.
The City of Bellingham is funding an overnight women’s shelter at Civic Stadium to be operated by the Opportunity Council.
If approved, Northwest Youth Services will operate a Youth Winter Shelter that will provide emergency shelter from December through February.
Severe weather emergency shelters will operate when the forecasted overnight low reaches 28° Fahrenheit.
