BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Soon, you’ll be able to cuddle with cats while you kick back and relax at a new Bellingham business.
A cat cafe called NEKO plans to set up shop on Cornwall Avenue in downtown Bellingham this winter.
An article in Bellingham Alive! says the business was started by WWU grads Caitlin Unsell and Cory James who were inspired by cat cafes while living abroad in Japan.
The cafe aims to host about 20 adoptable cats from the Whatcom Humane Society at all times.
They will offer coffee, beer, wine as well as beverages imported from Japan.
