FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale’s School Board was recognized as a Board of Distinction by the Washington State School Directors’ Association.
The award recognizes school boards that have reviewed their decision-making and have shown how that is tied to positive student outcomes.
Boards are asked to show a clear link between their leadership actions and closure of student opportunity gaps.
The Mount Vernon and Anacortes district boards were also recognized in the medium districts category.
