BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A portion of the sales proceeds from a highly anticipated cookbook will go to a Whatcom County program working to bring healthy food to kids.
The Whatcom Farm-to-School program enriches the connection between communities, local food producers and fresh, healthy food by changing food purchasing and education practices at schools around the county.
Students get access to healthy, local foods along with education opportunities like school gardens, cooking lessons, and farm field trips.
Whatcom Farm-to-School is one of the organizations that will benefit from sales of a new family mealtime cookbook called “The Adventurous Eaters Club” by actor Misha Collins.
