BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham business is one of 12 Washington businesses and agencies honored for their efforts to employ military veterans this year.
The Employment and Security Department awarded Pacific Security the Hire-a-Vet award for hiring 15 veterans this year, the most of any business in the area.
The industrial security and patrol services business has hired 111 veterans since 2017, and has a strong partnership with WorkSource to identify and recruit veteran talent.
Statewide, WorkSource places about 10,000 veterans into jobs each year.
