BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The public will have a chance to comment at a Whatcom County Council Homeless Strategies Workgroup meeting this week.
Councilmember Barry Buchanan will preside over the meeting that will focus on more emergency shelters, tiny home encampments and expanded capacity for year-round shelters.
Other needs of the homeless will also be discussed including rest stops, lockers and safe parking areas.
The meeting is this Friday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Whatcom County Civic Center Annex on Commercial Street.
