BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Access to Boulevard Park will be blocked next week.

Crews with the City of Bellingham will set up a large crane on November 20th to remove a damaged wood overpass structure at the north end of the park.

The City says the structure is damaged beyond repair and must be removed before it becomes a hazard.

Impacts to the South Bay Trail are expected to last one day on November 21st and the closure of Bayview Drive is expected to occur intermittently over a three day period from November 20th to 22nd.

Flaggers will be on site and signs will be posted to direct traffic around the area.
