BLAINE, Wash. — After 39 years of operation, a Blaine medical clinic will soon close its doors permanently, leaving Blaine without family doctors.
Bay Medical Clinic will be open through December 27, and its staff will be unavailable to provide health care after that date.
According to the Northern Light, doctors Marta Kazymyra and husband David Allan have spent over two years unsuccessfully looking for a replacement.
Family Care Network recently agreed to purchase land for a new medical center, but the facility is not expected to open for at least two years.
The clinic’s patients are urged to make an appointment for an exit visit to receive prescriptions ensuring they have enough medication to last until they make arrangements with a new provider.
