OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington state banned the sale of vapor products containing vitamin E acetate yesterday (mon).

The state Board of Health made the decision following a study that found the additive was often present in people suffering from vaping-related lung injury.

Vitamin E acetate is sometimes used as a thickening agent in vapor products.

The CDC hasn’t found a single compound or ingredient linking all cases, but say this additive was frequently present.
