OLYMPIA, Wash. — State Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed a lawsuit against a non-profit veterans organization, accusing it of misusing funds.

Veterans Independent Enterprises of Washington — or VIEW — and its operations manager Rosemary Hibbler are named in the suit, which claims Hibbler spent hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars of the charity’s funds on herself.

She’s accused of using VIEW funds on house repairs, personal debt, and bailing herself out of jail.

At the same time, VIEW failed to pay for repair to veteran housing, wages to its veteran employees, and at one point, laid off its entire staff and asked them to volunteer their labor.
