BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Forecasters see a slight chance the lowlands may see a bit of snow between Monday night and Wednesday.

Mountain passes are getting snow accumulation and drivers will need the proper gear if they plan on traveling through the Cascades.

NOAA reports there’s also a small chance of snow in the lowlands, but say it’s extremely difficult to pinpoint where or when this may be due to the hit-and-miss nature of upcoming showers.

At this point, meteorologists say Skagit, Island, King and Snohomish Counties are the most likely to get snow and even some light accumulation, but due to warm temperatures, it likely won’t last long.
