FERNDALE, Wash. — The music is back at the Mainstreet Bar and Grill in Ferndale, with some limitations.

Communications Officer Riley Sweeney says the city and Mainstreet’s new owner came to an agreement over concerns about crowd size and fire safety.

Music will be limited to three nights a week and the establishment’s capacity will be reduced.

The city shutdown live music at the establishment earlier this year after an inspection classified it as a nightclub and it didn’t have a required sprinkler system.

But a hearing examiner sided with Mainstreet’s owner and ordered the two sides to reach an agreement.
