WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – It’s official!
The Mt. Baker Ski Area will open for the first time this season on Sunday, December 15th.
The ski area reports on their website that they’ve received 30 inches of new snow since Wednesday night.
They’ll be open out of the Heather Meadows Base Area from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with chairlifts 1,2,3 and 4 operating.
They may open chair 5 if conditions allow.
The ski area expects colder and clearer weather on Sunday with more snow in the forecast later in the week.
