BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A long-time Bellingham Police Lieutenant has retired.
After 32 years, Lieutenant Danette Beckley said goodbye to the Bellingham Police Department.
Her last day was December 19.
Danette started her career as a patrol officer and worked her way up to the Investigation Division Lieutenant where she supervised the detectives in the Major Crimes and Special Victims Units.
She also spent time as a DARE officer, which she says remains one of the highlights of her career.
We at KGMI also appreciated working with her during the several years she spent as the Bellingham Police Department’s Public Information Officer.
