BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man allegedly abused his dog when he couldn’t get into a club in downtown Bellingham.

Bellingham Police Lieutenant Claudia Murphy says Jeremie Villines was arrested outside of Rumors Cabaret Wednesday night.

Witnesses told police Villines tried to enter the bar multiple times, but he wasn’t let in because he had a dog with him.

He allegedly threw his dog, Zena, against the wall in frustration and Murphy says she had a detached cornea and a possible spinal injury.

She is being cared for at the Whatcom Humane Society.
