DEMING, Wash. — The iconic Welcome Grocery Store in Deming will head into 2020 under new ownership.
Chuck and Barbara Patterson opened the store in March 2016 along Mount Baker Highway near the turnoff for Mosquito Lake Road.
The Pattersons announced on Facebook that they have sold their grocery store to a local named Amrit Sidhu who has nine years of experience operating the Quick-E Mart convenience store in Ferndale.
They are planning a soft “re-opening” and an official “re-grand opening” event for the store in the coming months.
