BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is monitoring earthquake activity after another rumbled 150 miles off the coast of Vancouver Island Tuesday.

While the earthquakes over the last few days have been as high as magnitude 6.2, there have been only 9 reports of minor shaking on the north end of Vancouver Island.

Experts don’t believe these quakes are an indication of a bigger event, but say they do underscore the importance of always being prepared.
