Police seek person responsible for damaging cars near WWU

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Police are looking for a suspect responsible for damaging several cars near Western Washington University earlier this week.

Bellingham Police responded to the 500 block of North State Street at about 11:40 AM Monday where they found at least three cars with the same type of damage.

Lieutenant Claudia Murphy says it appears someone walked through the neighborhood and used large rocks to break windshields and dent the hoods of cars.

Each car had about $1,500 worth of damage.
