POINT ROBERTS, Wash. — A Point Roberts man is accused of assaulting two border agents and threatening to kill several more.
Chief Deputy Kevin Hester with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect has a history of harassing Customs and Border Protection employees and was previously trespassed from the Point Roberts Port of Entry.
Hester says this past Friday, 27-year-old Brandon Brandreth-Gibbs came to the POE where he allegedly started an argument with an agent and refused to leave.
When agents attempted to take him into custody, they say he punched, bit, and kicked them and then threatened to kill one of the agents and his family.
Deputies allege he later threatened to kill eight border agents when he got out of his holding cell.
He is now behind bars at the Whatcom County Jail.
