BLAINE, Wash. — A Blaine man was sentenced Wednesday to 7-years in prison for the death of his friend.
Court documents show Shelby James Best met up with Joshua Paulley-Davenport in Fairhaven the night of May 1st last year and they spent the night drinking around town.
The men went back to Paulley-Davenport’s home with his girlfriend who said the men had an altercation and Paulley-Davenport told Best to leave.
She heard thumping outside a short time later and found Paulley-Davenport unconscious.
He was declared dead at the scene and Best, who had left, was found covered in blood and arrested.
