BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham marked Martin Luther King Junior Day at the Mount Baker Theatre with calls for unity, and to vote against Donald Trump.

New Mayor Seth Fleetwood said now is a time for positive change at the city, or grassroots level.

Local author Clyde Ford was the keynote speaker.

He spoke of climate and democracy advocates around the world that he believes King would have stood with today.

And he urged the audience to vote against Donald Trump and his policies.
