BELLINGHAM, Wash. — If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a sheriff’s deputy, here’s your chance.
Applications are now open for the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy, a 12-week program giving Whatcom County residents an opportunity to learn more about the Sheriff’s Office.
Citizens Academy participants will become familiar with the office’s mission, values and philosophy of policing while learning about things like K-9 officers, jail operations, and crime analysis.
