OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — A workplace conduct investigation finds a former 40th District lawmaker from Mount Vernon likely violated state House policy.

A summary of the investigators’ report finds former Democratic Representative Jeff Morris likely violated the policy against harassment and intimidation.

He doesn’t face sexual harassment allegations, but the report details several concerns, including that he, quote, “insults and disrespects others, and gives staff the impression that nothing they do is good enough.”

The News Tribune reports Morris, who resigned in November after serving 22-years, says he doesn’t believe he violated House employee policy in any way.

Alex Ramel was appointed to serve the rest of Morris’ term and is currently representing the 40th District in Olympia.
