BELLINGHAM, Wash. — We have some exciting news for cat lovers.

Bellingham’s first cat cafe, Neko, is opening on Cornwall Avenue this Friday.

Through a partnership with the Whatcom Humane Society, Neko will be home to 26 adoptable felines.

They’ll also offer a variety of beverages for customers to enjoy while they interact with cats.

Owners Caitlin Unsell and Cory James, who met at Western Washington University, opened their first location in Seattle just over two years ago and say they’re excited to bring the business to Bellingham.
