BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham is among cities and counties across the state to be awarded federal affordable housing grants.
The city will receive over $1.3 million from two grants from the Department of Housing and Urban development.
The awards fund the acquisition and construction of secure, affordable housing for people and families in need.
Communities from Seattle to Spokane and Bellingham to Walla Walla will receive over $95 million combined in HUD program awards.
