Sudden Valley, WASH. — The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office reports that between January 1st and February 11, over 300 “Recall Now” signs were stolen from the Sudden Valley area where they had been posted by a group trying to recall several members of the Sudden Valley Board of Directors.
Most of them were found in a dumpster in the Irongate Business area about 10 miles away.
60-year-old Gene Graul was caught in the act on camera and he admitted that he committed the crime, stating that he opposed the recall effort and felt many of the signs were placed illegally.
Deputies arrested Graul at his residence and booked him into the Whatcom County Jail.
