SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — While Northwest Washington was largely spared from power outages and other effects of Sunday’s windy weather, high winds made for a sometimes dangerous day in other parts of the state.

High winds sent a 200-foot-tall tree crashing down on an apartment building in Renton, critically injuring a man inside one of the units.

Power outages closed the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma.
