FERNDALE, Wash. — The Ferndale School District levy that voters recently turned down will be back on the ballot in April.
The school board says they will ask voters to re-consider the replacement levy at a rate of $2.17 per $1000 of assessed value for two years.
The levy set at $2.50 for four years was not approved in the February special election.
Ferndale School Board Chair Andrew McLaurin says the board will work diligently to make sure voters know that the updated rate means that they will both tighten their belts and do what is best for students.
