Ferndale, Wash. — Girls on the Run is coming to four schools in Ferndale this spring.
It’s not a competitive running program, but rather geared towards inspiring girls to build confidence and other important life skills through interactive lessons and physical activity.
The program is offered on a sliding scale fee structure so that no student is turned away due to financial limits.
Registration is now open for girls in grades 3 through 5, and the season begins March 23.
Schools and schedules:
- Beach Elementary School – Mon & Fri, 2:15-3:45
- Cascadia Elementary School – Wed, 3:30-5:15
- Central Elementary School – Tues, 3:30-5:15
- Skyline Elementary School – Tues, 3:30-5:15
If the program is not at a student’s school, the student can participate at any Ferndale location.
