BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Health Department is revising its recommendations regarding large gatherings.
A Health Department spokesperson said the county loosely defines large groups as 10 to 50 people or more, but added there’s no magic number and people need to balance their health and the community’s against the need for an event or meeting.
The Health Department isn’t calling for schools to be closed at this time.
Coronavirus Incident Commander John Wolpers says they’re still discussing the issue with superintendents of our local districts.
