BELLINGHAM, Wash. — All Whatcom County senior centers are closing due to COVID-19 and its dangers to the elderly.
The Whatcom County Council on Aging says the centers in Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden and Blaine will close March 12.
The centers in Everson, Sumas, Point Roberts and the Welcome Seniors Programs will close Monday, March 16.
Regular lunch programs will be closed until further notice but lunches will be available for pick-up during those hours.
The Meals on Wheels program won’t be affected at this point.
