FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale’s mayor declared a state of emergency.
Mayor Greg Hanson issued a proclamation effective immediately, in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Hansen says Ferndale will meet this issue head on.
He says the proclamation now is an administrative step to allow the City to be more responsive and effective at meeting this crisis.
Among other things, it will allow them to expedite the purchase of needed supplies and change rules related to sick leave.
