LYNDEN, Wash. — A Lynden woman is charged in the 2009 murder of a Washington woman who fled her abusive ex to a women’s shelter in Minnesota.

Kellee Kristine Sorensen and Cedric Joseph Marks were both charged on the 11th anniversary of April Pease’s disappearance.

Fox 9 reports charges show Marks had a child with Pease in Washington but was abusive toward her and she left with their young son.

Sorenson told police she helped Marks find and kidnap Pease so he could kill her.

Last month, Marks’ wife told police he gave her a copy of videos in which he says he’s going to do something “horrible” to get back custody of his son
