OLYMPIA, Wash. — The governor’s shutdown order will apply to non-essential businesses starting today.

Although some of the restrictions in the “stay home, stay healthy” order took effect immediately, businesses were given up to 48 hours to transition to full closure from the time of Monday’s announcement.

Essential businesses include grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, food supply chains and other entities necessary for continued operations.
