BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Shuksan Healthcare Center in Bellingham reports a 23rd staff member has tested positive for the coronavirus and a fifth resident of the facility has died.
The person in their 90’s was positive for COVID-19 and passed away earlier this week.
Shuksan says 27 residents have tested positive for the coronavirus but its last pending test came back inconclusive and the person refused to be retested.
The center says one resident who tested negative has been released to the care of familiy members and they’ll all remain in quarantine for 14 days.
