BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Governor Inslee announced yesterday that schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year.
Bellingham Schools Superintendent Greg Baker says this is a time to grieve the loss of the normal school year and all the activities attached to it.
But he says in a statement to remember why the sacrifice is being made – to save lives.
He says more clarity about the rest of the school year will allow for more focus on distance learning, with a shift from review to new lessons.
And he says they continue to follow state guidelines to make sure high school seniors earn credits to meet graduation requirements.
The district continues expanded food service.
