OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington Department of Corrections reports two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Monroe Correctional Complex.
The men, aged 68 and 28, were previously housed in the minimum security unit where the first positive individual was housed.
They had been moved to an isolation unit April 5th and tested positive two days later.
The facility now has 17 men housed in the isolation unit.
The 111 men remaining in minimum security are on protective isolation or quarantine as a preventative measure.
All transfers into and out of the facility have been stopped.
