BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Local volunteers have launched a website to help others impacted by COVID-19.

The website offers the Whatcom County COVID-19 Community Helpers group another avenue for people they call “neighbors in need,” who may be self-isolating due to the pandemic, contact “healthy helper” volunteers to help them with tasks like getting groceries and picking up prescriptions.

The website, whatcomhelpers.org, also features links to resources provided by Whatcom Unified Command.

Whatcom County COVID-19 Community Helpers also has an active Facebook group and an established hotline at 360-778-2762.
