SEATTLE, Wash. — Researchers at the University of Washington are enrolling COVID-19 patients for a hydroxychloroquine treatment trial.
The anti-malarial drug has received considerable hype as potential treatment for the illness, but UW says there is conflicting evidence on whether it works.
The research team at the UW School of Medicine is conducting a rigorous trial to find answers.
They will enroll 630 patients at sites across the country and results are expected by July.
