BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Lummi Nation has seen an increase in confirmed coronavirus-related cases.

In a Facebook address on Friday, Lummi Business Council President Lawrence Solomon announced that 16 new cases have been confirmed in recent days.

He has extended the tribe’s shelter-place-order until May 30th.

A curfew has also been imposed from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The Lummi Public Health Department reports many of the new cases are among young people and families that have visited other households.
