SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — Cancellations of summer events aren’t only happening in Whatcom County.

Skagit County Public Health Officer Dr. Howard Leibrand today (wed) offered guidance on planning summer events in light of Governor Inslee’s Safe Start plan, which is a phased approach on reopening Washington’s economy amid the coronavirus crisis.

Dr. Leibrand recommends cancelling or postponing large events, including fairs, parades, festivals, overnight camps, fireworks displays, and more in order to limit the spread of the virus.
